Welcome to another week of Art with Heart's Colour Creation Showcase where we are featuring a different Stampin'Up! colour each Wednesday evening.
This is Week Twelve - and we are creating with Crumb Cake.
I don't have any Crumb Cake DSP, so I created my own background (like last week), ending up with another card that contains different textures.
I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and inked up one of the stamps from the Whisky Business stamp set in Crumb Cake to create the "table". I then ran it through the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder - the cardstock has a really nice feel to it after embossing 😀
I distressed the edges of the embossed cardstock and the Basic Black mat. These were then adhered to a Crumb Cake card base.
The decanter and tumblers are (obviously) from the Whiskey Business stamp set. I stamped them in Black Memento Ink on Whisper White. I actually used the masking technique to stamp the tumblers.
I coloured using Stampin' Blends in Light and Dark Cinnamon Cider, Dark Mango Melody and Light Balmy Blue. They are fussy cut, and then dipped in VersaMark and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I heat embossed a couple of times to get a more "glassy" effect (bit hard to tell in the photos - much better IRL). They are glued onto the "table" using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I was really pleased with how the decanter and tumblers turned out. I have to give a shout out to UK Demonstrator Jo Blackman for her blending and embossing idea.
The greeting is from the same stamp set - Whiskey Business. I stamped it twice - once in Crumb Cake and once in Black Memento Ink. I cut out the middle line of the black stamped image and adhered it to the Crumb Cake image. I then distressed the edges and raised the greeting using Stampin' Dimensionals.
And you know we cannot forget the inside of the card.....

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you next week.

I really love how you created the "table", and decorated the inside of the card, Fiona. Great texture on your card, too.
ReplyDeleteFiona your table is stroke of brilliance and I'd love to wee the versamark embossed effect of your decanter and tumblers in real life. Thank you for inspiring us all with your crumb cake creation!
ReplyDeleteFabulous distressing on your card, Fiona and the 'table' was plenty enough crumb cake.
ReplyDeleteSome very clever elements to this great card, Fiona. I love the table, the glassy effect on the glassware and the 'roughed' up edges. A great masculine card.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not a Hallmark, it’s better! Looks awesome Fiona!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ben!
DeleteGreat card, Fiona. Love the 'table' you created; so effective and the embossed background is perfect with this set.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so beautiful - the browns of Cinnamon Cider and Crumb Cake team up so well together - thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that table looks amazing and the added touch of blue colouring on the glass is so realistic. You have done a great job colouring your whisky!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great masculine card Fiona and I really love how you have roughed up the edges for a rustic feel.
ReplyDeleteThe realistic touches to make the whisky bottle and glasses look life like have really paid off. A fabulous masculine card.
