This week the Art with Heart team is creating with Night of Navy for the Weekly Colour Creations Blog Hop.
I only used two colours this week - Night of Navy and Basic White.
I used three images from the Mountain Air Stamp Set. I stamped the mountains in full strength Night of Navy. I then cut out a mask using the coordinating Majestic Mountain Dies, though this image would be very easy to fussy cut if you didn't haver the dies. I placed the mask over the stamped image and using the stamparatus for positioning, I stamped the tree lime image, again in full strength Night of Navy so it looks like the trees are behind the mountains .
I them masked the trees as well as the mountain image and stamped off in Night of Navy, before stmping the lighter mountains in the background. I used the Stamperartus to offset the mountain image to stamping the second time.
The other image I used is the moon, also stamped off in Night of Navy.
The greeting is taken from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp set. The greeting has been stamped in full strength Night of Navy on a strip of Basic White Cardstock, which in turn, has been matted with Night of Navy Cardstock. The whole greeting has been raised with Mini Dimensionals.
The bottom Night of Navy panel has been embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
I actually didn't decorate the inside of this card - just put in a piece of Basic White for the sender to write on.

Fiona, I love the elegant monochrome simplicity of your card. Simply stunning!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great card, Fiona. I'm impressed with how only 2 colours and you get this look with the stamping and masking techniques. Those mountains are just brilliant!
ReplyDeleteWow, your mountain scene looks amazing! Navy was a great choice. The texture in the bottom half compliments it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Fiona. I love your mountain scene with the row of trees between the two sets of mountains. Your masking is brilliant. Xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautifully serene card Fiona. The masking on the mountains is fabulous and effective.
ReplyDeleteLove a clean card like this Fiona. I was glad you'd shared where the sentiment came from.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautifully designed card, Fiona! I love how you masked the mountains to tuck in a line of trees, and I love the clean, graphic look of your card.
