AWH Colour Creations Showcase - Week 13: Crushed Curry

 

Its another week and another Stampin'Up! colour!


Art with Heart participants are using - Crushed Curry - for this week's Colour Creations Showcase.

I've teamed a Crush Curry card base with Early Expresso and Granny Apple Green cardstock. 


The background cardstock has been embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder. I used this embossing folder because I thought it sort of mimics the giraffe's spots.


The giraffe is from the Back on your Feet stamp set. I stamped the giraffe in Early Expresso on Crushed Curry and coloured the spots with an Early Expresso Stampin' Write Marker. I fussy cut the giraffe and adhered it to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. There is a little bit of Wink of Stella on the spots!

The "tree" is die cut from the Forever Flourishing die set, and I must admit, the Wink of Stella got another workout. 

The greeting is also from the Back on your Feet stamp set and is stamped in Early Expresso on Crushed Curry. I cut the greeting up to separate the words.This card could be used as a "Get Well'' card, but it could also be sent to anyone during these trying times - Covid-19 is KNOT good!

I decorated the inside of this card with a narrow strip of the embossed cardstock and another "tree".

    Very cute, whimsical, design, Fiona! The bold colours look great together, the embossing folder is a perfect complement to the giraffe's 'spots', and the sentiment is very fitting for 2020!

    I love your giraffe he is so cute! A perfect card for lock down 2.0 The Hammered embossing folder is perfect for the giraffe and for how we all feel right now as well! Love it!
