AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 33: Old Olive

This week the Art with Heart team is creating with Old Olive for the Weekly Colour Creations Blog Hop.

I've teamed Old Olive with one of the 2022-2024 In Colours - Tahitian Tide. I love this bright blue and I think it blends well with Old Olive. I've also used Basic Black and Basic White.

I cut a piece of scratch paper same size as the Basic White and die cut 3 circles from it using the Layering Circles dies .This created the mask I used. I then laid the scratch paper over the Basic White and, using 2 Blending Brushes, I applied Old Olive and Tahitian Tide Ink to the exposed circles.

Using two of the images from the Forever Fern Stamp Set and my Momento Black I stamped the images over the blended circles.

The greeting is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set. This is such a good greeting - my stampin' friends and I use it alot! I've stamped it in VersaMark on Basic Black and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. The greeting has been adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals

I wasn't going to use the 2022-2024 In Colour Matt Decorative Dots, but I had a blemish in the 2nd circle that I needed to cover :)  And I've decorated the inside of the card using the same technique used on the front.

  1. Fiona, your blending together of Tahitian Tide with Old Olive is so effective as a background for your stamping. Love the use of the In Colour Matt Decorative Dots to cover the blemish. Wonderful card.

  2. Lovely, Fiona. Your blending is so crisp against the white background, it's beautiful. The heat embossed sentiment is wonderful on the darker card.

  7. Beautiful colours, Fiona! I love the masked, ink-blended circles, and your choice of stamps. That birthday sentiment is one of my go-tos, too; love it.
