AWH Colour Creations Showcase - Week 4: Blackberry Bliss

Hello and welcome to another week of colour from some members of the Art with Heart team.

This week we pay tribute to Blackberry Bliss. This is a very deep purple, but I wanted to show off Blackberry Bliss's ‘lighter’ side...

The 14cm square cardbase is in Blackberry Bliss with a Soft Sea Foam Mat.

I used images from my recently purchased Forever Fern stamp set for the 'arrangement', using a mix of greens for the leaves and Highland Heather and BlackBerry Bliss for the plant.

I die cut the stamped images using dies from the corresponding Forever Flourishing dies. I also die cut some Vellum, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty Peacock and Blackberry Bliss leaves.

The greeting is from Peaceful Moments and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Whisper White. I've cut it out using one of the dies from Tasteful Labels. I cut out the same label in Blackberry Bliss card stock, cut it in half and then adhered it to the back of the greeting so just a little mat is visible.

I didn't have any Blackberry Bliss embellishments, so I coloured some Dimensionals with the Dark BlackBerry Bliss Blend and Blackberry Bliss embellishments were born!

Using the splatter image from Forever Fern I stamped off in Soft Sea Foam to create a little interest in the Whisper White mat.

And I didn't forget the inside of the card!

The inspiration for this card came from My Inkie Fingers - a Canadian Demonstrator that I happened upon  recently - you can see her card here

I personally found this card a challenge - I had real trouble with the ‘arrangement’ - but I think I got there eventually. What do you think?

Foster Kitten Update From Last Week:

Calypso's little op went well and on Saturday she found her furever home 💕

Stanley took all his medication and has now recovered from cat flu. He had a vet check on Tuesday and was given the all clear. He just needs to get to weight so he can have his little op and then someone will be lucky to add him to their family. He is a lot quieter than Calypso, but play-bites a lot - it is something we have to work on. He’s a little sweetie.

Hope you can drop by next week and thanks for visiting.
