This week participants from the Art with Heart Team are using Bermuda Bay.
I really enjoyed making this card - both the process and the colours used. I teamed Bermuda Bay with Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Night of Navy in my attempt to replicate a 'Northern Lights' (Aurora Borealis) look.
I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and using my Stamping Sponge gently laid down a base of Bermuda Bay. I then built up the colour using Highland Heather, then Gorgeous Grape followed by Night of Navy.
All the stamped images, except the 'water' are from the Waterfront stamp set. The 'water' is from the High Tide stamp set. All images were stamped in Black Memento Ink.
I cut the Bermuda Bay label using the largest die from the Stitched Nested Labels, and then the centre of the stamped scene with a slightly smaller die from the same set. I matted the 'scene' with the Bermuda Bay label and then raised them on the card using dimensionals. I used a white gel pen for the stars in the sky.
I adhered this to a Bermuda Bay card base that had a Basic Black matt. I think the Basic Black matt really helped it pop. What do you think?
And of course I decorated the inside:

An update from last week about my foster kitten Calypso. She is in good health and went back to Animal Aid today. Tomorrow morning she will have her little operation, after which she will be available for adoption. I am SO going to miss her 😢
But guess what! Another little feline is in need of some TLC, so when we dropped off Calypso (with some tears) we picked up little 8 week old Stanley (named by my niece Cara) who has cat flu. Wish us luck!
Thanks for dropping by and I hope you can make it back here next week to see what we create using Blackberry Bliss.
Fiona
